Mother’s Day celebration started in the early 20th century in the US. It is believed that the US was the first country to celebrate Mother’s Day. A woman named Anna Jarvis organised a memorial in the memory of her mother after she died in 1905. After three years of her mother’s death, she organised a memorial ceremony at St Andrew’s Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia to honour her mother and other mothers. Thus, the celebration of Mother’s Day started which recognises the efforts and love of all the moms.
Different countries might have different dates but everyone has the same feeling of joy and happiness. On this day children buy gifts for their mother or cook favorite dishes to pamper their mother.
