Narasimha Jayanti is celebrated on the Chaturdashi of Vaishakh Shukla Paksha. Lord Narasimha has always been associated with power and victory. Meanwhile, Hiranyakashipu’s wife Kayadhu gave birth to a son, who was named ‘Prahlad’. Even after being born in a demon clan, did not have any evil qualities like demons and was a devotee of Lord Narayana. He used to oppose the atrocities of his father Hiranyakashipu. Lord Narasimha appeared after ripping the pillar and holding Hiranyakashipu on his thighs, tore his chest with nails, and killed him.
